Construction advanced on two FHM project sites in Haiti recently.  Missy Owen, FHM's In-country Manager, took the photos below on Saturday, Feb 2nd, at the Leogane Family Health Center site in Leogane where the Nancy Ferree-Clark Guesthouse is under construction.  Missy also shot the photos below of building materials recently delivered to new Fondwa school site.

LEOGANE
Footings are prepared as the construction workers wait for the seismic-resistant building materials en route from California.  The containers have been pre-inspected to speed their trip through the Panama Canal and onward to Haiti.

The Leogane Family Health Center will one day become a 100,000 square foot teaching and research hospital.  The plans for the multiphase facility have been donated by Hite Asoociates of Greenville, NC.

FONDWA
Foreign journals often report that they see no building progress in Haiti and that sites are still rubble-strewn.  In actuality, these same photographs show piles of sorted building materials, ready for use in building a new facility.  The piles of materials below are staged for the new Fondwa school.
