From Nancy Holton on October 10th:

  • For Sister Carmelle, whose ministry we support in Fondwa Haiti, has asked for immediate prayers for her brother, Wansit. He has been experiencing severe back pain and cannot walk. Doctors have not been able to determine what is causing the pain, but while they were running a series of tests, they also discovered an infection which they are now treating as well.
  • For the people of Haiti, especially for those who are already members of the family of God, but also for the many who are in the darkness of deception, depression and sin.
  • For protection and strength for those who are working on the front lines of spiritual and physical oppression:
    • For Leon and Jacky Dorleans;
    • For Pastor Luc Aristhene at Blanchard and his family;
    • For Se Carmelle and Se Simone for healing of back problems and discernment as they minister in the Fondwa valley.
  • for Delson Merisier and his wife Dianne, for the staff at the medical clinic in Blanchard, for Public Health workers Napeau and Annaus and their families,
  • For Dr. Junior, and Dr. Claude Pierre (pathologist who will be working at the cervical cancer clinic in Blanchard)
  • For upfitting of facilities in satellite clinics in Leogane and Blanchard
  • For hearts to be moved to sponsor kids at the St. Antoine School in this time of economic hardship . . .for the hardship the children and their families in Haiti is so much more severe than anything most Americans will encounter.
  • For collegial relationships and communications among groups who are working in Haiti so that efforts might be multiplied and not divided through miscommunication or misunderstanding, including the efforts of the UN, and the US government.
  • For the FHM medical mission team that will be conducting a medical clinic in Leogane Monday October 5-Thursday October 8. They will leave for Haiti tomorrow and return on October 11.
  • For the staff and Board of Family Health Ministries: for wisdom and discernment in direction, energy use, and activities.
  • For the women's group in Leogane has expressed hope in the possibilities for safe childbirth as a result of the satellite clinic and the future of the hospital which by God's grace will be built in Leogane.
  • For God's grace and favor upon His people in Haiti and upon us as we seek His face. Thanks for joining us in prayer. Prayer is the most important act we can take on behalf of the people of Haiti.
